      Great Deal!

It's a terrific banjo. I tried (and tried) to find better accessories than what was included. I want the best - what can I say? I failed. The accessories are all first-rate and no junk is thrown in just to make a deal. My trust is hard won - Deering has my trust.

Great instrument for beginners and super easy purchase

I'm really happy with this banjo for beginners, the sound is excellent and I find it very easy to handle and use in general. (And it's my first time learning a plucked-string instrument!) The purchase process was also super easy since I live in New Orleans. However, the tuner included in the package stopped working after 2 days, but not a big deal since I had another one : just thought I should mention it. All the other accessories are perfect.

The banjo came in sooner than I expected and in great shape.

      deering banjo package for beginners

I e-mailed deering and asked a question about sore fingertips from playing the banjo--I had had problems with the guitar--some have the strings so distant from the neck that one must push them quite hard to fret them and it was almost impossible to play it due to the extreme soreness of fingertips. I never received a reply from deering. I was disappointed and almost decided not to purchase from deering. It was very important to me
