Banjo Studio just received a fine example of a 5-string, openback Ome Banjo. This Ome Juniper features figured maple neck and rim instead of mahogany, a hand lacquer finish and no binding along the neck. What sets this banjo apart are the premium features that earn its Deluxe status. These changes offer improved resonance and tonal focus.
The Ome Juniper Deluxe features a Silver Bell tone ring, sometimes called the Silver Spun tone ring. Ome Banjos went back and forth with both of these names, but it is the same thing. This adds that distinct warm, rich tone and a nice bass response that made this a popular choice since its introduction back in the late 1800's. It is hard to find new banjos with this tone ring and finding a 5-string is a nice find and we are happy to have this unique banjo available to our customers.
This banjo is in great condition and there are no visible nicks, scratches or dings. The hardware is left in its natural condition, but can easily be polished up. We wanted to leave that up to the buyer to make that decision. We felt this added extra character to the banjo. There is minimal fret wear and we have included photo of the first couple of frets in our photos.
If there are any additional question or require extra photographs, we are happy to accommodate.
