One of the easiest ways to get your banjo sounding like new again is to change your banjo strings. Learn the proper way to change your banjo strings with this great video from the Deering Banjo Company!
Over time your banjo strings will get played out and dirty causing the clear, rich tone of your banjo to diminish. When your strings get dirty, the intonation of your banjo can go out as well. They also become hard to play as the dirty, oxidized strings won't allow your fingers to glide over them as easily. We recommend you changing your banjo strings at the minimum every two months. If you play more often, then once or twice a month.
