Scott Avett and Deering Banjos have had a long relationship and we have seen Scott play these banjos for many years, on many stages and across the world. It is not till now, that you can obtain one or both of these fine instruments. There are two instruments that are now being offered.
The Scott Avett "Truth" Signature Banjo
This banjos has been recently seen on stage and Scott has been playing this resonator banjo for many years. The collaboration with Deering is built upon a 3-ply Violin Grade 11" Maple rim and a Hartford Grenadillo Tong Ring. This gives a resonator banjo a rich, warm tone matched with clarity and depth. The design found on this banjo was designed by Scott Avett. This makes its identity totally unique.
The Vega Avett Star Signature Banjo
Origins of the Avett Brothers are from decades ago and the sound of their original music still echoes today. Early one, Scott played an openback banjo and this Vega Signature banjo is a new creation that hones in on traditional old-time banjos with a modern identity that signifies the Avetts Brothers band. This is based on the popular Vega Vintage Star and keeps with its roots and has thinner 12" maple rim and a Dobson Tone Ring. Again, the unique inlay designed by Scott makes this openback recognizable.
