The Ome Mira banjo features the Ome Vintage brass tone ring fitted to a 11”, 2-ply solid walnut rim to produce a very clear, bright, old time banjo tone. Select walnut neck, classic abalone and mother of pearl shell inlays in the peghead, radiused fingerboard, and heel cap.

This is basically the same banjo as an Ome North Star, but upgraded a bit with a little fancier inlays, a radiused fingerboard, and a select cherry neck.

Banjo Ome Mira: wow!

Extremely happy to have this wonderful banjo! The look and making is great! The sound is outstanding, so clean, super versatile and round as I really wanted! I love the curved neck, the tuning pegs are really good, the head is fabulous, the bridge seems to be excellent. It's going to be difficult to play on my other banjo!

Finding a magnificent Ome Mira Banjo from Banjo Studio

As the once dominant music stories with wide collections of instruments fade away, online replacements such as the Banjo Studio are picking up where they left off. With lower costs, a great selection of banjos and an excellent website, Banjo Studio is doing well in a tough time for retail. I happene to be in New Orleans this summer, and stopped by to try out a slew of banjos. David talked me through their strengths and weaknesses. The Ome MIra stood out for me. I spent a few weeks thinking things over and then ordered the banjo. It arrived by Federal Express last week -- a magnficient gift for my birthday this week. Many thanks to David for his guidance.
