Starr Limited Edition Celtic 12" 5-String Openback Banjo

Starr Banjos represents exceptional value in handcrafted North American instrumentation. Constructed by luthier Chuck Ogsbury in Gold Hill, Colorado, this 12" Celtic 5-string openback features premium specifications typically reserved for higher-priced models—stained curly maple neck and walnut rim combined with abalone inlays. The hand-carved neck is individually shaped by Ogsbury for each instrument, ensuring consistent quality and playability.  I love the look of the fretboard on this one!  This showcases Celtic inlay on the fretboard and headstock.  Materials on the fretboard is mother of pearl and abalone.  On the headstock, Chuck used Ivoroid.  This on also features an S-Curve Frailing Scoop. This banjo delivers the tonal characteristics and aesthetic refinement expected from a professionally made instrument, offering serious players access to superior craftsmanship at an accessible price point.
