Get a classic bluegrass tone that really cuts! The Deering Golden Era banjo is the curly maple version of Deering's take on prewar Gibson Mastertone style banjos.
The Deering Golden Era 5-string banjo has a select flame maple neck & resonator with Cremona sunburst finish, white binding, 20-hole bell bronze tone ring, one-piece cast zinc flange, double cut peghead, Deering True Tone tailpiece, bound ebony fretboard with hearts & flowers inlay pattern, ebony peghead overlay inlaid with pearl, planetary tuners, nickel hardware. Styled after banjos of the pre-war "Golden Era" with a fuller neck & deeper resonator than other Deerings. Resonator walls taper for better sound projection. Deering wooden archtop hardshell case included.
This banjo comes with 5th string spikes installed at frets 7, 9, and 10 at no extra cost!
Tone:
The Golden Era has a larger air chamber like the Tenbrooks banjos which gives the banjo a more resonant hollow sound with deep bass response for a traditional prewar bluegrass sound. Clear, bright highs and resonant deep bass notes.
