Custom, In-House Machined Hardware
Unlike many modern builders who rely on mass-produced components, Brooks machines his own vintage replica brass banjo parts right in his shop. From his signature "Spartan" butterfly shoes to custom brackets and traditional hooks, the hardware on a Brooks banjo is entirely unique to his brand.

It feels broken-in and comfortable from the very first strum, giving you an immediate connection to your music. Most Brooks Banjos come with a real goat-skin head. He takes the time to weather treat the head to reduce the stretching issues that come with a real skin head. Along with making his own hardware, he also fashions the bridge out of tight-grain Douglas Fir.
